NEW: Rulfs Photography Policy

Rulfs Orchard is a popular location for photography and we’re so appreciative! We encourage our visitors to photograph our beautiful farm and their experiences. Recreational novice photography is allowed in areas open to the public.

On occasion, guests wish to use our beautiful setting as the backdrop for professionally produced photography. While we try to extend every consideration to individuals and groups wishing to photograph at Rulfs; professional photography must not interfere with normal operations or compromise the safety of our visitors, the quality of our farm, structures and other infrastructure. Please remember, this is private property.

‍Commercial and professional photographers and their clients are permitted on our farm under the guidelines below.

WHAT FALLS UNDER THE TERM "PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY"?

Rulfs Orchard considers professional photography to include mini sessions, engagement, bridal, wedding, senior pictures, birthday, and family photography sessions conducted by a professional photographer.

Professional photography requires approval, which must be scheduled in advance and comply with our photography policy, below.

PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY POLICY

Because we are a privately owned working farm and to ensure the safety of all of our guests and employees, professional photography is allowed at our establishment under the following guidelines only:

1. Photography sessions must be scheduled with Amanda Whisher at least one week in advance by email: amanda@rulfsorchard.com – A fee of $100 will be invoiced to you.
   The $100 fee will work two ways:
   - Single family sessions, maternity and engagement will be a one time $100 fee that is good until 12/31/24.
   - Mini sessions or any sessions that involve multiple families being booked for multiple time slots will be a $100 fee charged per event. Mini sessions that last multiple days are not permitted.
   Once paid, your name will go on our list of approved photographers with your date of choosing. If you’re not on our list you will be asked to leave the premises.‍
2. Sessions are allowed ONLY during business hours which is 6 am to 6 pm, year round.
3. Photographers must check in upon arrival at the bakery counter. Please communicate with staff where you’ll be set up to ensure your client can be pointed in the right direction.
4. Photography is not allowed in retail areas. Retail areas include greenhouses during the months of May and June.
5. Please do not move, alter, climb or draw on any structures/property.
6. Flow of visitors along driveways and pathways must not be blocked at any time
7. Due to strict produce guidelines we must follow, pets of any sort are prohibited from our property.
8. Multiple photographers may be on the premises at the same time, please be respectful.
