We want to take a moment to address some recent behavior from visitors to our Petting Zoo.
Unfortunately, we have been dealing with trash thrown around the barn, visitors getting into the grain bins, destroying veggies planted nearby (for the bunnies), and most concerning of all, visitors letting themselves into the animal enclosures and chasing the animals.
We want to be clear here, and we don't think we are being unreasonable: NONE of the above behavior is acceptable.
🔴 Animal enclosures are NO ENTRY to anyone other than staff. Usually, they are locked shut, but people keep stealing the locks 🙄
🔴 Please respect the animals when you visit. At the moment, we have babies (piglets and baby bunnies) who are easily scared. PLEASE stay on your side of the fences and gates for these and ALL animals. This ensures the safety of you and them, and allows them to walk away or hide if they feel overwhelmed.
🔴 Please respect the barn by disposing of any trash. Respect our property within and around the barn by leaving any planters or grain buckets alone.
We worked hard to build something wonderful for the animals and the community with this barn. We love giving you a place to meet our animals. All we ask is that you respect what we've worked so hard for!
